---Lindy was born in Illinois. Her parents were Jacob and Maria Elizabeth [Reis] Tervooren who immigrated to Illinois from Labbeck, Rheinland, Prussia in 1858. The family moved to Brown County, Texas about 1879. She was the second of a family of nine. Her siblings were Mary Elizabeth Tervooren [Strohm] - 1857, Elizabeth Ann (Lizzy) Tervooren [Schultz] -1861, Frederick G. (Fred) Tervooren -1863, Henry Jacob Tervooren - 1868, Emma Lou Tervooren [Cason] -1869, Julia Tervooren [Heffington] -1870, and Laura B. Tervooren [Hutcheson] - 1873,and Charles John (Charley) Tervooren -1875.


---She married Milton Lafayette (Bud) McAnally in Brown County in Dec. 23, 1880. They had seven children. They were Lizzy Mae McAnally [Thate] -1881, William Jake (Bill) McAnally -1884, Henry McAnally -1887, Grace McAnally [Gould] -1888, Harry McAnally -1894, Claude M. McAnally-1891, and Roy McAnally.

---Bud was ran off by her brothers Charley and Fred after he kept disappearing and reappearing. He later remarried and had 10 more children in/near Brady Texas.
