Alice Josephine Taylor, 72, passed away on September 16, 2008 at Peachtree Assisted Living Center in West Haven, Utah.


She was born January 13, 1936 in Burley, Idaho, the daughter of Ariah Coates and Lydia Frieda Brantner Brower. She married Owen William Taylor on June 9, 1957 in Superior, Montana. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Mesa, AZ Temple. Owen passed away on September 9, 1971. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Roy 3rd Ward, serving in many callings for years. She served a temple mission to the Chicago, Illinois Temple and served in the Salt Lake Temple. Alice belonged to the Uintah Trail Riding Club. She loved the temple and spending time with her children and grand-children. Her family and the temple was her life. She enjoyed gardening and canning.


She is survived by her children: Martin O. (Marcie) Taylor of Vicenza, Italy; Linda (Howard) Musselman of Hooper; William L. (Sherrie) Taylor of Kennewick, Washington; and 10 grandchildren, Jesse Fletcher, Tyson Musselman, Marty Taylor, Ashley Musselman, Matt Musselman, Taylor Musselman, Kayleigh Taylor, Adam Taylor, Emily Taylor, Owen Taylor. Also surviving are her mother Lydia Hall and two sisters Pat Clark and Terry Brower, three brothers, Danny Brower, David Hanus, and Johnny Brower. She was preceded in death by her father, husband, three sisters and one brother.


Funeral Services will be held on Friday, September 19, 2008 at 1 p.m. at Myers Roy Mortuary, 5865 South 1900 West. Family and friends may gather on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. and on Friday from 11:45 a.m.-12:45 p.m. prior to the services.
Interment: Grant Central Cemetery, Idaho Falls, Idaho, on Saturday, September 20, 2008 at 1 p.m.
