Paris News-April 5, 1994-Jimmie Estelle George, 98, of Cooper died Monday, April 4, at St. Joseph's Hospital and Health Center. Services will be held at 10 AM Wednesday, April 5, at Delta Funeral Home Chapel with James Weir and Richard Tatum officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-9PM Tuesday at the funeralhome. Mrs. George was born September 8, 1895, in Wister, Oklahoma, a daughter of Ezra and Martha Josephine (Springer) Tarpley. She married S. R. "Rich" George on December 12, 1915. He died December 6, 1961. Survivng are two sons, Toy George of Cooper and S.R. George, Jr. of Charleston; two daughters, Edna Randle of Cooper and Billie Gean Basham of Paris; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
