Billie Gean Basham, 85, of Paris, passed away Wednesday, April 25, 2012, at Brentwood Terrace.

Bright-Holland Funeral Home has scheduled graveside services for 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 27th, at Evergreen Cemetery with Rev. Ronald Barnett officiating.

Mrs. Basham, the daughter of Simmie Richard & Gimmie Tarpley George, was born Dec. 3, 1926, in Delta County.

She married Floyd E. Basham on Oct. 21, 1944, building sixty-four years of family and memories before his death on Nov. 23, 2008.

She worked at Hooten Drug in Cooper and at Cooper Cannery while her husband was overseas with the military. After his return from the war they moved to Pacio where they operated a dairy. Later they moved to Paris where they lived the remainder of their lives.

Mrs. Basham was a faithful, spiritual woman and attended Ramseur Baptist Church.

Survivors include her son, Billy Richard Basham of Paris, a brother, S. R. George of Charleston, two grandchildren, Jacqualyn Dulaney of Edmond, OK and Richard Brent Basham of Paris, five great grandchildren, Christina Greene of Edmond, OK, Tiffany Greene of Edmond, OK, Lane Basham, Christopher Basham and Ashton Basham all of Paris.

Casket bearers will be: Glenn Randle, Terry Dulaney, Brent Basham, Lane Basham and Christopher Basham.
