Ella (Penrod) Tanner, 88, Show Low resident, died Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2006, at the home of her daughter in Mesa.

Ella was born Oct. 2, 1918, in Show Low. She was the daughter of Liona Penrod and Marcena Hansen Penrod. She was the seventh of 10 children. She married Chester Tanner July 20, 1935 and they lived in Show Low and Mesa for many years. They were sealed in the Arizona LDS Temple in 1948 and were married for 68 years. They raised one son and three daughters. Ella enjoyed gardening and being with her family.
Ella leaves behind her son, Steven of Meridian, Idaho; daughters, Linda Ely of Logan, Utah, Prudy Loveall of Mesa and Teena Foote of Mesa. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren and 47 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild on the way.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and all of her brothers and sisters.
Ella was greatly loved and admired by her family and friends and will be greatly missed,
