He was born in Snowflake Sept. 23, 1916 to Martin Ray and Prudence Miller Tanner. Chester was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
Chester is survived by his wife of 68 years, Ella Tanner, and his four children, Linda Ely of Logan, Utah, Steven Tanner of Boise, Idaho, Prudy Loveall and Teena Foote both of Mesa; 22 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
