Betty Joan Sullivan, 94, Kokomo, passed away at 7:55 p.m. Monday, October 5, 2015 at Waterford Place Health Campus. She was born February 22, 1921 in Indianapolis, IN the daughter of Ben and Artlissa (Baker) Burton. On July 30, 1960 she married Charles B. Sullivan who survives.

Following her father’s death, Betty was raised in Kokomo by Pete and Artlissa Lear and attended Kokomo schools. She had a love for animals, tending flowers, photography, scrapbooking, and was an avid supporter of We Care. A member of First Church of the Nazarene, Betty loved life, especially time spent with family and grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Charlie Sullivan; children, Nancy (Robert) Moloch, Bobby (Shelia) Donson, and Gary (Charlene) Sullivan; ten grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and lifelong friend, Charlotte Coulter.

Funeral services celebrating Betty’s life will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, October 9, 2015 at Shirley & Stout Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1315 West Lincoln Road with Pastor David Leeder officiating. Burial will follow in Kokomo Memorial Park Cemetery.
