KENTON, Sept. 6 - Final rites for Paul K. Strong, 78, Hardin-co engineer, who died Friday night at Hardin Memorial hospital from complications of diseases, will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday in the Hull funeral home. Dr. W. Carl Hickey of the First Methodist church will officiate and burial will be in Grove cemetery.
A resident of Kenton all his life, he was born on Jan. 17, 1873, the son of Wesley A. and Catherine Benning Strong. On Oct. 28, 1905, he was married to Delamar Walker, who survives.
He was an architect and city engineer for the city for 30 years. For a time he was a civil engineer and surveyor for the Florida Coast railway. At the time of his death he was serving his third term as county engineer. He was a member of the Republican party. He was a member of the First Methodist church and of all bodies of the Masonic order. He was a 32nd degree Mason and a member of the Scottish rite in Toledo.
Surviving besides his wife are one daughter, Mrs. Marion S. Mallory, Chicago, and a sister, Mis Nelle Strong, Kenton.
