KENTON, Aug. 12 - The Rev. Fr. Francis Hickey will officiate at services at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Schindewolf funeral home for Mrs. Gertrude S. Gelhaus, 69, 508 N. Detroit-st, who died in San Antonio hospital at 7:45 a.m. Saturday. She had been in failing health for over a year and seriously ill seven weeks.
Born in Kenton Feb. 1, 1881, she married E. F. Gelhaus, July 19, 1910, who survives.
Active in social and civic organizations during her life, she was long a member of the Minerva and Kenton music clubs.
Besides her husband she leaves two daughters, Mrs. James C. Eagan, Jr., of Sherman Oaks, Calif., Mrs. Gilbert J. Schultz of Cincinnati; one son, Robert Merrick Strong, Long Island, N.Y.; two brothers, Paul K. Strong, Hardin-co engineer; Roger W. Strong, also of Kenton, and one sister, Nelle Strong, of Kenton.
