Beulah A. Ambrose, age 72, passed away at 10:17 p.m. on Thursday, March 6, 2008, at Alton Memorial Hospital.

She was born on Sept. 12, 1935, in Alton to Walter and Lucy Stamm.

She married William F. Ambrose on Oct. 23, 1953, in Alton.

She is survived by her son, Mark Ambrose and his wife, Elizabeth, of Alton; her daughter, Becky Bowman and her husband, Jeff, of Godfrey; her brother, Walter Stamm Jr.; her six grandchildren, Diane "Niki" Ambrose, Scott Ambrose, Katelynn Cook, Erin Sumpter, Chris Bowman and Eric Bowman; and her six great-grandchildren, Jessica, Rebecca, Cathy and Steven Starnes, Jacob Ambrose and Kelli Vargas.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; her son, Duane; her sister, Bonnie Northway; and a great-grandchild, Kelsey.

Visitations will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 10, at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Alton.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 11, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Tim Campbell officiating.

Burial will follow the service at Upper Alton Cemetery.
