"Mrs. Fanny Blacketer, wife of Samuel Blacketer, died at her home near Ferndale, May 19, 1888, in the 70th year of her age. Her husband, five sons and three daughters survive her. She was for many years a member of the U. B. church. The funeral sermon was preached by Rev. D. E. Kelley and the remains laid to rest in the Martin graveyard."
