Born April 7, 1928, in Wyoming, Ill., to Everett and Bessie Phoenix [Phenix] Stagg, she married James C. Kelley on Jan. 20, 1943, in Memphis, Mo. He survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Ronald of East Peoria and James E. of Kansas City, Mo.; one daughter, Carol Kelley of Peoria; three sisters, Grace Palmquist of Las Vegas, Louise Cunningham of Galesburg and Donna Buskirk of Kewanee; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. One brother, one sister and one grandson preceded her in death.
She was a member of Bethel Memorial United Church of Christ in Creve Coeur.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria. The Rev. Jim Williams will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Graveside services will be at noon Tuesday at Wyoming.
