Kewanee, IL - Donna Jean Buskirk, 94, formerly of Kewanee, passed away at 3:27 AM, Saturday, January 26, 2013 at the Lincoln Rehabilitation Center in Decatur, IL.

Donna was born May 10, 1918 in Wyoming, IL, the daughter of Everett and Bessie (Phenix) Stagg, She married Wilbur F. Buskirik on January 3, 1939 in Davenport, IA and he preceded her in death on May 2, 2009.

Survivors include a son, Allan (Glenna) Buskirk of Aledo, a daughter, Mary (Bill) Blazier of Decatur, six grandchildren, Lisa (Zig) Lemezis, Mike (Trisha) Blazier and Cheryl (Tom) Nuckolls, all of Decatur, Mark (Rochelle) Buskirk of Hampton, IL, Marsha (Eric) Larson of Blue Grass, IA and Melissa (Jason) Schlickbernd of Urbandale, IA, great grandchildren, Rachel (RJ) Brucker of Bloomington, IL, Mandy Sanderfield, Mick Blazier, Tedi Blazier, Joel Nuckolls and Brett Nuckolls, all of Decatur, Ryan Buskirk of Hampton, IL, Blake Larson of Blue Grass, IA and Will and Allie Schlickbernd, both of Urbandale, IA and three great-great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, four sisters and a brother.

Donna graduated from Wyoming High School and while in her 20's had played semi-pro softball. She was a homemaker and had partnered with her husband, helping him on the farm. Donna and Wilbur enjoyed camping and had made camping at the Erie Campground a favorite retirement pastime and in their early years had also enjoyed dancing. She enjoyed attending class reunions, having coffee and cooking for her family and friends and was especially known for her homemade noodles and pies.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude and offer a special thank you to Jo, Evia and Ashley with Passages Hospice and to the entire staff of the Lincoln Rehabilitation Center.

Burial will be in Evergreen Memory Gardens in rural Kewanee.
