Mrs. Philip O. Gibson, a practical nurse at St. John's Nursing Home near Ivy for the last 14 years, died at 3:30 a.m. today at her home. She was 67 years old.

The former Edna Frances Sprouse, she was born July 20, 1893 in Albemarle County, a daughter of the late Joseph and Emma Gibson Sprouse. Mrs. Gibson was preceded in death by one daughter, Margaretta Helen Gibson Cash.

She is survived by her husband; two sisters, Mrs. John Cook (Julia)of Charlottesville and Mrs. Jack Ray (Martha Jane Agnes)of Alexandria; two brothers, Fred and Alex Sprouse of Charlottesville; and one grandchild, Walter Wayne Cash of Charlottesville.

The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Friday at St. John's Episcopal Church, near Ivy, with burial in the church cemetery.
