Peggy L. Allen, 62, of Bloomfield, passed away at 11:34 p.m. Monday, February 2, 2009 at Bloomington Hospital. Born August 17, 1946, she was the daughter of William Jasper "Jap" and Wilma B. (Kindred) Skinner.
She retired from General Electric and attended Switz City Full Gospel Church.
Surviving relatives include: a daughter, Crystal Robinette of Bloomfield; son, Rodney J. Allen of Bloomfield; two brothers, Darrell Skinner of Summerville, Georgia and Richard Skinner of Bloomfield; one sister, Karen Stivers of Trion, Georgia; and grandchildren, Natasha Allen, Jessica Nelson, Jordan McDonald, Austyn Allen, Brittany Allen, and Adia Robinette.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Judy Bruce.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 6, 2009 at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield, with Brother Sam Hill officiating. Interment will be in Grandview cemetery in Bloomfield.
