childhood days were, spent in the town of Albany On October 7, 1891, she was united in marriage to John Silverness. They resided on a farm in
Bennet Valley until 1913, when the family moved to MondovI.
Mrs. John Silverness was a faithful member of
Lutheran churchand its organizations. She was given a life membership in the Woman's
Missionary Federation.
On October 7, 1947, Mr & Mrs John Silverness celebrate their 50th Wedding anniversary.
For several years Mrs Julia Silverness has been out lending with poor health. She was taken to the hospital Friday eveing, September 9th and passed away Monday Morning, September 11th at the age of 72 years, 1 month and 10 days.
One daughter Edna; who died in infancy preceded her in deah.
Mrs Silverness leaves to mourn her departure, a devoted husband; two daughters, Josephine (Mrs Melvin) Johnson of Mondovi; and Alice (Mrs Fred Lee) of Mondovi; 3 grandaughters, Eunice ( Mrs Ellsworth Anderson), Nancy and Linda; 1 grandson, John Anderson, and a host of relatives and friends.
Blessed be her memory and efforts and labor as wife and mother.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday Sept 13, at Central Lutheran Church, Rev Harold Haugland offficating. Burial was in Oak Park Cemetery.
