Arnold "Buster" Shones, 68, beloved husband, father, grandfather of Rockford, died Friday (Nov. 1, 1996) at his residence.

Born Aug. 18, 1928, in Millville, son of Arthur and Elizabeth Komisar Shones, lived in Rockford since 1951. Married Esther Grossenbacher April 26, 1952, in Rockford. He was owner of Shones Aluminum Siding Co. for over 30 years. He was a member of St. Bridges Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife, Esther; two daughters; three sons, mother, Elizabeth Shones, Independence, Ore., six grandchildren; two sisters, Virginia (Mrs. Merle Delva, Kasson, and Rose (Mrs. Jerry) Sechrist of Eagle River, Alaska; two brothers, Donald, St. Louis, Mo., and George, of Indepedence, Ore., and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and one brother, Jim.

Funeral Mass was held Tuesday (Nov. 5, 1996) at St.

Bridget Catholic Church with Father Daniel J. Deutsch officiating. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery in Durand.
Delehanty Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
