FIND A GRAVE IS A GREAT SITE! Margie has been doing family tree research for over FIFTY years - half a century! Her cemetery-loving mom, Doris Shones, started taking her to cemeteries when she was 8 years old. ****************************************************** We don't hold on to memorials of non-family members. If anyone is related (no matter how distant) OR are friends to any of our memorials posted at Washington Veteran's Home Cemetery in Retsil, send a suggestion and Margie will transfer them to you.
She has created over 750 biographies from their free online files at digitalarchives.wa.gov. We have no relatives in this cemetery and want these veterans to be remembered for their service. Margie is a Navy and Air Force veteran; Bob served in the Army. ************************************************* I will do my best to help make any memorial as complete as possible. There are several free online sources for researching Washington state residents, such as Ask A Librarian Washington and DigitalArchives.Wa.Gov - and Select Online newspapers. If I come across an obit when reading old papers, I will try and find that person at findagrave and send a correction; I am not usually related. I will cite the newspaper, date and page. There is also no need to ask permission for using any of my 2800+ grave photos - I consider them a public service and you can use them in your family history without crediting me. I also do not need credit for any obits as I always source the paper.
Happy Graving! ***********************************************

 | RE: John Swett You can do Eliza's memorial. I will check with the city to see if they have the location. The book it was in was at the library and didn't include lot number.
