Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 16, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 3300 24th St., Rock Island. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of services Friday at the church. Interment will take place at the National Cemetery on Arsenal Island. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Agrace Hospice Care, 3001 W. Memorial Drive, Janesville, WI 53548.
Violet was born Dec. 13, 1923, in Elgin, Ill., the daughter of Charles and Rose Schumann. She married Fred Goodrich on July 14, 1951. Violet loved bowling, playing bingo and Bunco. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Rock Island. She loved to spend the summer and holidays in Wisconsin with her loving family.
Violet is survived by her one niece, Pamela Keisler, Evansville, Wis.; four nephews, Michael Schumann, Elgin, Scott (MaryAnn) Schumann, Spring Brook, Wis., Jeffery (Cecelia) Schumann, South Elgin, Ill., Timmy (Chris) Schumann, San Diego, Calif.; three great-nieces, Amy Rowley (Kris Schwender), Orfordville, Wis., Jennifer Keisler, Madison, Alicia Schumann (Edgar Ayala), South Elgin; seven great-nephews, David Keisler, Evansville, Jason Schumann and Mario Schumann (Erica Ozornia), South Elgin, Charlie (Bonnie) Schumann, West Dundee, Ill., Matthew (Adrienne) Schumann, South Elgin, Timmy Schumann II, San Diego, Justin Schumann, Naples, Fla.; three great-great-nieces, Hailey Rowley, Orfordville, Brianna Schumann and Madelynn Schumann, both of West Dundee; two great-great-nephews, Antonio Ayala, South Elgin, and Tyler Schwender, Orfordville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred; her parents; her brother, Harold Schumann; and sister-in-law, Velma Schumann.
