ROSE D. GAZZERRO, 83, of Sheldon Street, an employee in the transportation and dietary departments at Kent County Memorial Hospital for 10 years, retiring in 1978, died Friday at the home of her daughter in West Warwick.
She was the wife of Anthony W. Gazzerro.
Born in Fornelli, Italy, a daughter of the late Carmine and Maria (Ionata) Santilli, she came to this country 78 years ago and lived in Warwick and West Warwick most of her life.
Mrs. Gazzerro was a member of the Women's Auxiliary Fire Brigade and the St. Ann Society of Sacred Heart Church.
She had worked at various Pawtuxet Valley textile mills, including the Natick Mill, Anthony Mill, Royal Mill and Mousley Inc. Mill.
Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters, two brothers, five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She was the sister of the late Yolanda Notarigiacomo and Dora Styga.
