ANTHONY W. "TONY" GAZZERRO, 87, of Sheldon Street, a self-employed mason for many years, died Tuesday at the home of his daughter in West Warwick.
He was the husband of the late Rose D. (Santilli) Gazzerro.
Born in Warwick, he was a son of the late James V. and Gulia (DiSalvo) Gazzerro.
Mr. Gazzerro had been employed at the former Rhode Island Mallable Iron Foundry in Warwick, and for various construction companies. He retired in 1955.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Leo Council 71, the Fire Chief Club of Rhode Island, and the AARP.
Mr. Gazzerro is survived by two daughters, three brothers, two sisters, five grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
He was the brother of the late Lucy DeRensis and Julia Schmitt.
