Mrs. Nellie Blowers passed away Tuesday, June 24, 1952, at 6:05 p. m. at St. Olaf Hospital after a long illness.
Mrs. Blowers was born Nellie May Roebuck to Mr. and Mrs. William A. Roebuck, who preceded her in death, in Adams County, Decatur, Ind. She came to Austin, Minn. with her parents in 1899 and settled near the city on a farm.
In September 1903 she was united in marriage to Walter Scott Blowers and to this union eight children were born: Earl W., Harold E., who passed away in June 1920, Raymond, Rena Mae (Mrs. A. M. Lodahl), Elizabeth K. (Mrs. E. P. Gutney), all of whom reside in Austin, Walter E. Blowers , Lyle, Bert H. Blowers, Minneapolis and Donald H. Blowers, Menomonie, Wis.
She leaves to mourn her passing on her children, one brother, Bert W. Roebuck, Austin, fourteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Jordan Chapel. Rev. W. J. Campbell officiating. Interment was at Oakwood Cemetery.
