Mrs. J. Rouiller Dies at Manitowoc
Mrs. Joseph Rouiller, 84, of Manitowoc, former Gibson resident, died last
Wednesday afternoon at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, where she had been a
patient since becoming ill at her home that same day. Funeral services were
held Saturday morning at 9:30 at the Mittnacht Funeral home, Manitowoc and at
10 am at Sacred heart Catholic Church there. The Rev. D.L. Krembs officiated
and burial was in Evergreen Cemetery.
The former Barbara Toupal was born July 3, 1871 in the town of Franklin,
Kewaunee County, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Toupal. She married
Joseph Rouiller in 1891 at Tisch Mills, and the couple operated a farm in the
town of Gibson until 1919 when they moved to Manitowoc. Surviving are her
husband, three daughters and two sons.
