Sister Therese Marie Rouiller, age 95, a member of the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity, died Friday, September 15, 1995, at Holy Family Convent, Manitowoc.
Funeral Servies will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 19, 1995, at Holy Family Convent Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Samuel D. Jadin, O. Praem. with burial in Holy Family Cemetery.
The former Caroline Rouiller was born September 15, 1900, in Mishicot, Wis., daughter of the late Joseph and Barbara Toupal Rouiller. She entered the convent in 1922 and professed her vows in 1925. Sister Therese Marie earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Mount Saint Mary College, Los Angeles, Calif., and a Master of Science Degree from Immaculate Heart College, Los Angeles, Calif. Sister Therese Marie served as an elementary school teacher at St. John, Wellsburg, W. Va., St. Mary, Brillion, St. Mary, Rhinelander, Guardian Angels, Oneida, Wis., Immaculate Conception, Yuma, St. Anthony, Topawa, St. Peter, Mission, Bapchule, San Jose' Indian Mission, Pisinemo, Covered Wells, Sells, Ariz. and San Miguel, Ariz. She also served as a Librarian and Director of the Learning Center at St. Boniface and St. Andrew, Manitowoc. In addition to teaching, she was also the principal at San Jose' Indian Mission, Covered Wells and San Miguel. Since her retirement from active ministry in 1986, she has been residing at the Holy Family Convent.
Surivors include the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity; relatives and friends.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Monday, at the Holy Family Convent, Manitowoc. There will be a prayer service at 7 p.m. Monday at the Holy Famiy Convent Chapel.
The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, is assisting with funeral arrangements.
