Newport: Delores E. Badejo 61, loved the Lord and has gone home to be with her Savior on July 10, 2011 at her Newport home. She was born in Princeton, Me Feb. 5, 1950 the daughter of Elwin C. and Gladys C. (Corbett) Preble. She was a graduate of Newport High School. Delores worked in food service at the Dorothea Dix hospital in Bangor for many years retiring due to ill health. Delores was a member of the Newport Church of God.

She is survived by her son Terry L. Badejo and his companion Jessica of Plymouth, two brothers and their wives, Marvin and Diana Preble of Lamoine, Terrance and Donna Preble of Pittsfield, one sister Maria Preble and her significant other Pamela McCue of Hudson, three grandchildren Arianna, Isaac, Joshua, several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Delores was predeceased by her parents, her husband Alfred, a brother "Beanie", and a sister "Betty".

Burial will be in the family lot at Highland Cemetery Carmel. (Bangor Daily News posted 7/11/2011)
