Lois M Plumley, 63, and Adams County resident, of route 2, Monroeville, died at 8:30 pm Sunday at home. She had been ill since last February. She was born in Paulding County, OH, on July 31, 1923 to Fred and Farry Thompson-Cress and married Robert W Plumley on July 27, 1947; he died May 22, 1985. She was a housewife and an active member of Monroeville Church of the Nazarene, a former board member and onetime Sunday School teacher. Surviving are the mother, of route 2, Convoy OH; two sons, Larry Plumley of route 5, and Jerry Plumley of 1107 Cambridge Ct; two daughters, Mrs Richard (Sharon) Grace of route 2, Monroeville and Mrs Johnie (Bev) Foster of route 3, Monroeville; three brothers, Rev Delbert Cress of Rockford OH, Duane Cress of route 5, and Lowell Cress of Atlanta GA; and 10 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10 am Wednesday in Monroeville Church of the Nazarene. Revs James Wolford and Matt Blanton officiating. Burial will be in the IOOF Cemetery at Convoy. Pallbearers will be Mike Baker, Herb Martin, Dale House, Stan Cress, Lynn Cress, John Minerd, John Foster, and Ted Ruble. Visiting hours at Zwick-Boltz-Jahn Funeral Home are 7-9 pm today and 2-5 and 7-9 pm Tuesday. Preferred memorials are gifts to the American Cancer Society or the church building fund.
