Mrs. Jervis Mae Parrish, 87, died Sunday at her home at 117 Hillcrest. She was a member of the graduating class of Hall-Moody College and the oldest living member of Central Baptist Church.
She leaves three daughters, Miss Virginia Parrish of Martin, Mrs. Hayes Christopher of Jonesboro, and Mrs. Vernon Leeman of Jackson; and four grandchildren, Wayne and Dennis Christopher, Morris Gregory Parrish, and Lynn Hall Leeman. She was the widow of Will A. Parrish. A son, William Haze Parrish, died in 1996.
Services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Doug Murphy Funeral Home with the Rev. J. Victor Brown and the Rev. O.A. Marrs officiating. Burial was in East Side Cemetery with Doug Murphy Funeral Home in charge.
Pallbearers were H. C, Brundige, Ruben Brundige, George Zarecor, James Myrick, Jimmy Blacknall, and Charlie Milam.
