She was born Feb. 26, 1914 in Moroni, UT, to Alvin LeRoy and Wayne Cloward Marx. She married Fred Love Oakden on Oct. 28, 1939 in Sacremento, CA, later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Everything in life that brought her joy, centered around her family. As an active member of the LDS Church, she served in various callings throughout the years including temple missions in Manti and Provo.
Ada is survived by her children and their spouses: Fred L. and Margaret Oakden of Louisville, KY and Carol Lynn and Marvin D. Miller of Price, and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Also survived by sisters Maxine Reinhart, Pauline Shorts and brothers Jay and Floyd Marx. Preceded in death by her husband Fred L. Oakden; brothers Blain, Kenneth, Clyde, Earl and Verdell Marx; and sisters Eloise World and Lucille Marx.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Feb. 24, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. in the Price 5th Ward LDS Chapel (545 E. 400 No.) Friends may call Thursday evening from 6-8 at Fausett Mortuary in Price and one hour prior to services at the church. Interment will be in the Price City Cemetery.
