Dan R. Nielsen, 34, died Saturday, Dec 23, 1978 of a lingering illness.

He ws born March 11, 1944 in Provo, a son of Ellis Arthur and Merle Robey Nielsen. He married Linda D Slater and they were later divorced. He then married Deanna Lees and they were later divorced.

He attended Provo City schools, graduated from Utah Technical College at Provo and was a member of the Utah National Guard, Springville unit.

Mr Nielsen was employed at Dean's Body Shop of Provo where he was an auto body painter.

Survivors include three daughters, Robin Dianne Nielsen, Orem; Stacy and Kim Nielsen, both of Sandy; his parents, Orem; two sisters, Mrs Ted (Gwen) Roundy, American Fork, and Mrs David (Peggy) Elsmore, West Jordan.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Sundberg-Olpin Mortuary, Orem, where friends may call Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. or Wednesday one hour prior to services. Burial will be in East Lawn Memorial Hills.
