Elizabeth "Liz" Christine Mundine, 75, pased away on Aug. 18, 2011, in Conroe, Texas. The funeral service will be held Monday, Aug. 22, 2011, 2 p.m., at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Huntsville. Burial will follow at Mayes Addition of Oakwood Cemetery in Huntsville, Texas. Mrs. Mundine will lie in state Sunday, Aug. 21, 2011, at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Huntsville, Texas, with visitation to be held from 3 - 5 p.m

Elizabeth "Liz" Christine was born in Camp Ruby, Texas, to the late Jhue Pace and Essie (Wisenbaker) Pace. Liz worked as a secretary for Texas Department of Criminal Justice, retiring ten years ago. She had a love for life and never wanted to grow up. She had several nicknames she was often called: "Lizard", "Silly Lizzie", "Crazy Lady" and "Queen Elizabeth". She loved her flowering trees outdoors and flower gardens. Liz touched many lives and left behind family and many, many dear friends that will miss her smile and laughter.

Liz is preceded in death by a brother, Jhue Chism Pace, Jr.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, James Mundine, of Huntsville; daughters, Terri Tate, of Huntsville and Jamie Smith and husband, Tim, of Virginia; grandchildren, Sean Lovett, of Seattle, Washington, Carmen Lovett, of Kalamazoo, Michigan, T.J. Smith and Jillian Smith, of Virginia; sisters, Shirley Blackmon and husband, Bobby, of Florida, Diana Kay DaPillo and Julia Mae Highfill; brothers, Ronnie Pace and Eric Pace; six nieces and nephews; and numerous other relatives and friends.
