He was born in Clay County, IL the son of Hubert & Elsie Lewis McKnight.
He was a retired laborer for the Valley Steel Company in Flora. He was also a World War II Veteran. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the American Legion & the Flora Eagles.
Mr. McKnight is survived by three sons, Bill, Jim, and Keith; a daughter Patricia Bissey; a brother, Murvin McKnight; five sisters, Mabel Monical, Dorothy Kutz, Dantzelle Cambron, Mary Stanford, and Lou Garrett; also three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents & a brother.
Funeral services were held at the Hosselton-Bookhout-Engelmeier Funeral Home in Flora with Rev. Arthur Warren Phillips presiding.
Burial was at Hoosier Prairie Cemetery, Louisville, IL.
