Hubert E. McKnight, 87, of Flora, died Sunday at Clay County Hospital in Flora.

He was born Aug. 31, 1890 in Clay County, son of Millard and Emma Harmon McKnight. On Dec. 24, 1910, he married Nora Elsie Lewis in Effingham. His wife died Dec. 12, 1965.

Surviving are two sons, Murvin McKnight of Olney, and Lee McKnight of Flora; five daughters, Mrs. Aaron (Mable) Monical of Clay City, Mrs. Dorothy Kutz of Olney, Mrs. Dantzelle Cambron, Mrs. Marv Lents and Mrs. Rex (Lou) Garrett, all of Flora; two sisters; Mrs. Linda McCorkle and Mrs. Ova (Mary) Bryant, both of Louisville; 19 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; four
great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be at the Cardascio Funeral Home, Flora, with burial in Hoosier Prairie Cemetery, rural Louisville. Friends may call at the funeral home. Bro. Arthur W. Phillips and Bro. Tom Phelps will officiate at the services.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, a son, and a grandson.
