Alex Marshall To Be Buried In Arlington

Alex Marshall, a native of Lanes Mills and brother of Tom and Paul Marshall, died in University Park, Md., over the week end. Mr. Marshall, a former Ridgway resident and veteran of World War I, passed away in his home at the age of 63. He had been ill since suffering a stroke a year ago.

Mr. Marshall served with Company II, 28th Division, 112th Infantry of the Pennsylvania National Guard in World War I. Ho was employed by Elliott Company before and after the war. The family left Ridgway 16 years ago.

Survivors are his widow, the former Mary Zimmerman, of Hallton, Elk County; a son, Jack and two grandsons, of University Park; two brothers, Thomas and Paul Marshall, of Brockway, and two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Hemstreet, of Lakeland, Fla., and Mrs Jeffrey Linder, of Cape Town Africa, who visited her brother this summer. Burial was in Arlington National Cemetery.
