Marian M. Cromwell, 100, died Friday, Oct. 10, 2008, in Menno Haven's Penn Hall Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Chambersburg.
Born Sept. 18, 1908, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin F. and Mae (Cohick) Mackey.
Her husband, John H. Cromwell, died in 1971.
Mrs. Cromwell graduated from Shippensburg Normal School in 1928, and later went back to receive her bachelor's degree in elementary education.
Prior to retiring in 1971, she taught in the Chambersburg Area School District for 41 years.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Chambersburg.
Mrs. Cromwell also was a member of the Retired Teachers' Association.
She is survived by three nephews and five nieces.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Trinity Lutheran Church, 26 W. Commerce St., Chambersburg, with the Rev. Dr. Neal O. Hively officiating. Burial will be in Lincoln Cemetery, Chambersburg.
There will be no public viewing.
