Mrs. Bessie Clara Daise, 84, died Wednesday morning, Jan. 16, in St. Francis Hospital, Maryville, where she had been a patient a week following a long illness.

The daughter of the late James and Mary Gillis Lyle, she was born March 4, 1895, at Graham, and worked in the post office there. The past 40 years she had resided in Clearmont and was a member of the Clearmont United Methodist Church.

In 1918, she was married in Graham to Len C. Daise, who died Jan. 14, 1973.

She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Byron (Inez) Honan, Elmo, Mrs. Mike (Julia) Singh, Fort Wayne, Ind.; and mrs. Roscoe (Alma) Morris, Clearmont; one son, Robert Daise, Hamilton, Mich.; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Services were held Saturday, Jan. 19, in the Price Funeral Home, Maryville, with the Rev. Clifford Hubbard officiating. Burial was in the Prairie Home Cemetery, Graham, Mo.
