Helen Marie Loar, 83, Barton, died Saturday, March 1, 2008, at Egle Nursing and Rehab Center, Lonaconing, where she had been a patient for 2½ years.
Born Dec. 8, 1924, in Barton, she was a daughter of the late William A.E. Russell and Lena R. (Clark) Russell. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Wesley E. Loar on July 4, 1994; one infant son, Paul Loar; one infant sister, Shirley Russell; and another sister, Virginia Kyle.
She was a member of the Bethel Holiness Pentecostal Church, Lonaconing, and was a homemaker.
She is survived by three sons; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one sister; and one brother.
Friends were received at the Eichhorn-McKenzie Funeral Home, Lonaconing.
A funeral service was conducted at the Bethel Holiness Pentecostal Church, Lonaconing, on Tuesday, March 4, with Pastor George Loar officiating.
Interment was held at the Laurel Hill Cemetery, Moscow Mills.
