Jesse Elmer Little, 88, of Honey Grove died Wednesday, Sept. 13, 1995, at Sam Rayburn Memorial Veterans Administration Center Hospital in Bonham.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 15, at Oakwood Cemetery with the Rev. terry Paul Cunningham officiating. Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home has charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Mr. Little was born Feb. 23, 1907, in the Sash community, a son of David Hampton and May Gilbert Little.

He was a retired blacksmith.

He married Edith "Polly" McCollum March 25, 1945.

He served in the U.S. Navy Seabees during World War II. During his tour of duty he was responsible for developing several projects that wer re later patented by the Navy.

Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Judy Hicks of the Aberfoyle community in Hunt County, and Robin Shipman of Honey Grove; one sister, Maudie Moody of Paradise, six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
