LINCOLN: Mrs. Joseph Laurent, 85, pioneer resident of the Town of Lincoln, passed away at the home of her daughter-in-law Mrs._____Laurent, following an illness at extended over a period of several years. Death occurred at 8:30 Sunday morning Nov. 29. Mrs. Laurent was born, ANTOINETE VANCASTER in Belgium, Jul 3, 1851 and accompanied her parent to American in 1865. The Vancaster family settled on a tract of land in the Town of Lincoln and ever since, deceased had made her home in Kewaunee County. At the age of 16 she united in marriage to Joseph Laurent and the followed the occupation of farming until their son, Eli took over the homestead. Her husband and four children preceded Mrs. Laurent in death.

Surviving are six children, Mrs. John Barrette, Mrs. Isidore Thayse and Jule Laurent, Lincoln; Fabian Laurent, Woodstock Ill.; John Laurent, Green Bay and Dr. Victor J. Laurent, Luxemburg. Also remaining are 34 grandchildren and __Great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Tuesday morning Dec 1 from St. Peter's Catholic church in this town, with the Rev. H. J. DeKort officiating at the rights. Burial was in the parish cemetery. Pallbearers are Ralph Laurent, Mathey Bank, Walter Laurent, Eli Malfroid, John Thayse and John Laurent and carring flowers were Grace Laurent, Nora Laurent, Viola Barrette and Eleanora Bank.
