Mr. Joseph A. Kronlage, age 90 of Dyersville died early Sunday,December 28, 1974 at the Dyersville Community Hospital.

The McBride Funeral Home was in charge of services. Scripture services were held at the funeral home. Monday evening, at 8 p.m. Funeral services were held Tuesday, December 31 at St. Francis Xavier Basiclica with Msgr. David A Wheeler officiating. Burial was in St. Francis Cemetery.

Pallbearers were grandsons.

Mr. Kronlage was born in Germany on December 17, 1884 son of the late Frank Kronlage's. He resided most of his lifetime in the Dyersville aresa. He married Elizabeth Ann Rolfes on February 20, 1910 at Petersburg, Ia. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Leo (Marie) Rahe of Earlville and Mrs. Wm. (Magdalen) Schockemoehl of Cascade; four sons, Ray of Farley, Louis of Monticello, Joseph Jr. and Arthur both of Dyersville; thirty seven grandchildren and thirty-seven great-grand children. He was preceded in death by his wife on December 8, 1959 and one daughter.
