DYERSVILLE, Iowa - Mrs. Marie Rahe, 88, of Dyersville, formerly of Petersburg, died
suddenly after a brief illness Saturday, Sept. 22, 2001, at Oakcrest Manor, Dyersville.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church,
Petersburg, with burial in Ss. Peter and Paul Cemetery. Friends may call after 2 p.m.
Tuesday at Kramer Funeral Home, Dyersville, where there will be a parish Scripture
service at 4 p.m.
Mrs. Rahe was born on June 20, 1913, in Ionia, daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth
(Rolfes) Kronlage . She married Leo E. Rahe on Jan. 21, 1937, in Dyersville. Marie and
Leo farmed in the Petersburg area until their retirement. Mr. Rahe preceded her in death in 1994.
Surviving are seven sons, and four daughters, ; 33 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren; two brothers, Art (Betty) Kronlage and Joe Kronlage , both
of Dyersville; and a sister, Magdalen (Bill) Schockemoehl, of Worthington.
She also was preceded in death by a sister, Leona, in infancy; a daughter-in-law,
Dena Rahe; and two brothers, Ray and Louis Kronlage .
The family wishes to thank Oakcrest Manor for their personal loving care through Marie's stay.
