ELIZABETH ROSE JACKSON
AGE: 85 CARTERET
Elizabeth Rose Jackson, 85, of Carteret, died Friday, March 27, 2009, at home. Elizabeth was born in Carteret and was a lifelong resident. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Carteret and a member of the Carteret Community Seniors evening group. She was also director of the Carteret Blazing Stars.
She was predeceased by her husband, Clarence Jackson; and her parents, Frank and Elizabeth Kovacs.
She is survived by her daughter, Geraldine Resko; her son, Travis Jackson and his wife Rose; five grandchildren, Lisa Resko, Thomas Resko and his wife Joanna, Robert Resko, Keith Jackson, and Kevin Jackson; two great-grandchildren, Tommy and Tyler Resko; her two brothers, Frank Kovacs and his wife Helen and Walter Kovacs; and many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, March 29 at Synowiecki Funeral Home, 56 Carteret Ave., Carteret. The funeral will be at 9 a.m. Monday, March 30 at the funeral home, followed by a 9:30 a.m. Mass at St. Joseph's R.C. Church, Carteret. Interment will be in St. James Cemetery, Woodbridge. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Haven Hospice JF Kennedy Medical Center, 80 James St., Edison, NJ 08820.

CARTERET — St. Elizabeth's Church was the scene Saturday afternoon of the marriage of Miss Elisabeth Kovacs, daughter of Mrs. Elizabeth Kovacs of Union Street, to Clarence Jackson, son of Mrs. Mathilda Jackson of 198 Roosevelt Avenue.
