Frank Louis Kovacs, 84, of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, passed from this life Sunday, Aug. 14, 2011. Frank was born in Port Reading, New Jersey on November 11, 1926, to Frank Kovacs and Elizabeth (Lukenics) Kovacs. After serving his country in the U.S. Army at the end of World War II, Frank was married to Helen Kovach in Carteret, New Jersey, on May 26, 1951. He went to Cummins Diesel School and became an auto and truck mechanic. For over 33 years, Frank worked for Cities Service Oil Company/ Oxidental Petroleum as the Fleet Service Manager. He was a member of several organizations including Carteret First Aid Squad, and PMTA ( Petroleum Motor Transport Association of Oklahoma). Frank was also the Assistant Scout Master of Troop 84, Carteret, New Jersey, and a volunteer for the Ronald McDonald House in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He loved to travel with his family and was able to visit every state in the United States except Alaska. Frank will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Elizabeth Kovacs and a sister, Elizabeth Jackson. Frank is survived by his wife, Helen of the home; son, Brian Kovacs and wife Anne of Freehold, New Jersey; granddaughter, Gabrielle Grace Kovacs of Freehold, New Jersey; brother, Walter J. Kovacs of Ft. Mill, South Carolina; other relatives and a host of friends.

A memorial service for Frank will be scheduled at a later date. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.mobleydodsonfuneralservice.com. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Mobley-Dodson Funeral Service of Sand Springs, Oklahoma. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made in Frank's name to the Tulsa Ronald McDonald House, 6102 South Hudson Avenue, Tulsa, Oklahoma, 74136-2020.
