Your life was a blessing
your memory a treasure

Son of Charles John Kilbourne & Reba MacDaniels Kilbourne of Rome, and Plattsburg, NY. Fred was born and died in the South, but most of his life was spent in New York State. By 1918 the family had moved to Plattsburg, NY. He had life long fond memories of his family camp at Valcour Island, in Lake Champlain. He also enjoyed taking the family on summer vacations every year. Fred was a 1935 Plattsburg HS Graduate. He attended Oswego & Syracuse, NY Colleges. 49 years the beloved husband of Iva Bennett of North Creek, NY. Over the course of his life, he was a jack of all trades, master of most, including an industrial arts teacher and a General Electric design engineer and draftsman retiring in 1971. In a 33 year period he spent over $20,000 remodeling from top to bottom single handedly his 1844 farm house in Sauquoit. He lived 33 years in Sauquoit, NY and 11 years in Clearwater, FL. He had a great love of fishing and always had projects and hobbies going. He was THE BEST Grandfather a guy could have. Father to Laurel & Bruce. As a side note, Grandpa Kilbourne, in 1975, cured my touret syndrome in a round about way with genealogy (wow).
----------He liked his genealogy----------
He died of a heart attack in his home at 1265 Magnolia Drive, Clearwater, FL after 77 years with relatively no illnesses, 10 days before the birth of his first great grandchild.
