HAWKINSVILLE - Franklin Jones, Jr., 81, of Hawkinsville, died June 19, 2004 in Macon, GA. Burial at Orange Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Jones was a native of Dooly County and the son of the late David Franklin Jones, Sr. and Alma Ward Jones and a member of the Hawkinsville First United Methodist Church. He was Master Sergeant in the Army in World War II having served in Okinawa. He was a graduate of the University of Georgia. Mr. Jones was the former owner and manager of Hawkinsville Motor Sales Co. He was self-employed in the Real Estate Business. He was a Charter Director of the Sunmark Bank and a former member of the rotary club, the VFW of Hawkinsville, GA and a member of the Chamber of Commerce.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Frances M. Jones of Hawkinsville; daughter, Diana Jones Fuller of Macon; two sisters, Mug Speight of Unadilla, and Dit Roberts of Albany, GA and nieces and nephews.
