ARLENE IDA MAY JENCKES, 88, of Mount St. Francis Health Center, formerly of Bernon Street, a retired employee of US Rubber Co., died Monday at home.
She was the wife of the late Arthur Jenckes Sr. Born in Manchester, N.H., a daughter of the late Louis and Arlene (Tinker) San Soucie, she had lived in Slatersville for most of her life before moving to Woonsocket two years ago.
Mrs. Jenckes worked in the production department at the former US Rubber Co. in Woonsocket for many years before retiring.
She leaves two sons, Arthur G. Jenckes Jr. of Bellingham, Mass., and Kenneth D. Jenckes of San Diego, Calif.; a daughter, Shirley A. Roy of Harrisville; and 9 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held tomorrow at 11 a.m. in Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, 1583 Diamond Hill Rd. Burial will be private.
