He was born June 7, 1928, in Peerless, to John V. and Rhoda Pettit Huntsman. On March 15, 1952, he married Valynn Christiansen in Las Vegas, Nev.; she died May 29, 1995.
Lynn was a longtime resident of Carbon County and a graduate of Carbon High School in 1946. Served two years in the U.S. Army in Japan and graduated from the University of Utah in 1953 with a B.S. in mining engineering.
Lynn spent his career in the mining industry in Utah, California and Wyoming and had been employed in jobs ranging from boney picker to general manager. He authored and presented technical papers at various mining conventions and seminars. He was a charter member of the Utah Coal Section of AIME and a lifetime member of the B.P.O. Elks 1550 in Price.
Survived by one son and two daughters, Dale Keith (Melissa Holloway), Price; Holly (Jeff Wright), Salt Lake City; Nori (Hunter Finch), West Valley. Preceded in death by parents; and brother, John Keith.
