Nancy Ann Howe Donovan, 88, of Ewing passed away peacefully Wednesday, February 25th, 2015 at her residence with her family at her side. Born September 2, 1926 at Ewing, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late James E. and Frances Howe.

Nancy was a graduate of Ewing Elementary and Fleming County High School, and a Member of Ewing Christian Church. She was known for her beautiful singing voice, having won a competition in Chicago, and declined an invitation to sing at the Metropolitan Opera House in New York. She was equally well known for keeping the family close together by hosting Sunday dinners for her entire family for as long as they can remember, and as a daylight to dark contributor at the family canning shed.

She is survived by her children: Stephen Donovan of Ewing, David Donovan of Ewing,Edwin (Wendy) Donovan of Adelaide, Australia, Frannie (Gerald) Vice of Ewing, John Donovan of Ewing, and Jeff (Nancy) Donovan of Ewing. She is also survived by 12 Grandchildren and 12 Great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by: her husband James E. Donovan, a son Eugene Donovan, and a Grandson Michael Anthony Donovan.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, February 28, 2015 at Ewing Christian Church with Rev. Rich Anderson and Pastor Larry T. Ingram officiating. Visitation will be Friday evening from 6:00 to 9:00 PM and Saturday from 8:00 AM until the hour of the service at the Ewing Christian Church. Burial will follow at Elizaville Cemetery, Elizaville Kentucky. Grandsons will serve as active Pallbearers. Granddaughters and Great-grandchildren will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
