Born Oct. 18, 1957, in Maysville, he was a son of the late James E. and Nancy Howe Donovan.
John was an accomplished artist, and graduated from Morehead State University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree. John also had a love for trains, which never made his job as an Engineer for TTI Railroad seem like work. Whether listening to his records by the fire, or making an authentic buckskin outfit, John enjoyed everything about his life, and all of the joys that life has to offer. His practical jokes and contagious laugh will always be remembered. John was a devoted father with a very kind heart which fed his zest for life and living it to the fullest.
John was a lifelong member of Ewing Christian Church and attended the Nepton United Methodist Church.
