Mrs. Minnie Ann Houston, former postmistress at Prairie Hill, died July 18 at Chariton Manor where she had resided since 1975. She was 95 hears of age.
Mrs. Houston was the former Minnie Ann Talkington, daughter of Alfred and Harriet C. Jones Talkington. Her birthplace was in Vernon, Illinois on February 22, 1884.
She married Albert J. Houston, Sr. in 1917.
Mrs. Houston is survived by one son, Albert J. Houston, Jr., Excelsior Springs; one grandson, Greg Steven Houston, Kansas City and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was at Berry Funeral Home where funeral services were held at 11:00 Friday morning with Rev. Ad Phillips in charge.
Mrs. Gene Smith was vocalist and Mrs. Charles Davis was organist.
Pallbearers were John H. Wright, Elmer Carter, Ray Lyle Richardson, Clifford Cook, Elvon Richardson and Rush Johnson.
Burial was in Prairie Hill Cemetery.
