She was born November 16, 1942 in Sherman, the daughter of the late LaVern O. and Audrey L. Patchen Houseman.
She had worked as a furniture maker at Kling Furniture in Mayville.
Margaret enjoyed camping, crocheting, the outdoors, canning, gardening, family picnics, shopping, playing her harmonica, and going to Disney World, but most of all she loved her grandchildren.
She is survived by Thomas G. Toy, her companion of the past 41 years of Erie; four children, Bradley A. Anderson and his partner Kenneth of Erie, Daniel L. Anderson of Westfield, Jessica B. Toy of Lafayette, Ind., and Tamera Luke of Jamestown; eight grandchildren, Brandon, Jeremiah, Emelie, Darrec, Danielle, Justin, Zack, and Jenna; one great grandson, Jayden; two sisters, Mary E. Barnes of Brocton, and Laurie E. Roberts of Marietta, OH; an ex brother-in-law Gerald Barnes; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick A. Anderson.
